About the November General Election

The League of Women Voters of Central New Mexico plans to publish an online Voter Guide for Bernalillo, Sandoval, Torrance and Valencia Counties at VOTE411.org for the general election. Look for it in mid-September.

Printed editions of the Voter Guide are available at all voting convenience centers. You can also pick up a copy at these locations.

How to Vote

If you have an absentee ballot, fill it out and put it in the mail by Tuesday, October 27.

If you miss that deadline, you can drop your ballot by any early voting location by October 31.

If you spoil your absentee ballot, you can still vote in person at an early vote center or at an election day polling place. You will have to sign an affidavit that you did not vote absentee.

Bernalillo

If you plan to vote early and in person in Bernalillo County, here is a link to the early vote centers and their hours of operation. You can vote at any of these locations beginning October 17.

If you plan to vote absentee but do not want to mail your ballot, You can drop it off at any of those locations. and 16.

Bernalillo County will also have a drop off location for absentee ballots on election day in front of 5th and Marquette St. (drive in left lane west on Marquette from 3rd street, watch for signs and personnel). Voters will drop off their ballot through a car window and receive an “I Voted” sticker.  This drop off location will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. 

Sandoval

If you plan to vote early and in person in Sandoval County here is a link to the early vote centers and their hours of operation. Early voting begins on October 17. If you want to vote absentee in Sandoval County, You will automatically be sent a ballot request form around mid-September. Fill it out and send it back to the clerk as quickly as possible. You will then be sent a ballot. By law, clerks may not send out ballots until October 6. If you want to go to the polls on election day, here is a list of polling locations.

Torrance

Voters wanting to request an absentee ballot can call 505-544-4350 or go to nmvote.org. Early vote and election day voting locations and hours can be found here. Early Voting begins on October 17.
