Although there were no bills aimed at de-criminalizing abortion introduced during the recent short legislative session, law-makers did take up other bills concerning women’s reproductive rights. Our March speaker, ELLIE RUSHFORTH,will talk about what happened in the area of reproductive rights during the legislative session, and she will bring us up to date on what is happening in New Mexico and in the nation relating to abortion and reproductive rights in general.

Ellie is the reproductive rights attorney for the ACLU of New Mexico. Previously she was a senior staff attorney at the Southwest Women’s Law Center where she worked on economic and reproductive justice.

Luncheon will be in the Atrium; members must use the south-main Embassy Suites Hotel door.
